* Determine what you are going to buy online, and stick to it.
* Determine the amount of time you are going to shop online, and stick to it.
* Determine your shopping budget, and stick to it. Lindstrom suggests going so far as spending only what you literally have in your wallet. "If people were to follow that single piece of advice, 9 out of 10 purchases would not happen."
